Joliet Junior College is the sponsor of a registered apprenticeship program, and we recently received grant funding as part of an Information Technology (IT) Apprenticeship grant initiative. We have IT training programs in a variety of areas and we’re looking to align our apprenticeship program to meet the demands of industry and as well as develop a talent pipeline of skilled workers. I am hoping to connect with someone who would provide some details regarding the specific skills and/or positions your company is looking for when recruiting. We will be hosting an Information Technology Employer Roundtable on March 2nd and would greatly appreciate your company’s input.
We’ll have a facilitated open discussion with employers across various industries. Joliet Junior College will listen and learn about your specific IT workforce needs and understand how your business has changed due to COVID. We will then pull out the common themes to then follow up with specific businesses and create a program to meet the common IT workforce needs of employers.
Those employers who are interested in developing a pipeline of skilled workers will assist Joliet Junior College develop a program that will meet their needs and provide them the access to their next employee! Our grant provides the funding for the employee to receive the training needed for your company.
Would you or one of your staff be available to participate in the Information Technology Employer Roundtable with other local employers on Tuesday, March 2nd at 10am? If so, we encourage you to REGISTER and provide your feedback, and we will send you a link to participate in the webinar.
