When the Rock Island Railroad was built in 1852 the town of Morris was changed forever. But 170 years later the railroad was gone. What happened? Find out at the Morris Area Public Library, on Tuesday, March 27th at 6:00 p.m. Railroad aficionado Zack Hajduk and local history librarian Debbie Steffes will give a program, through vintage photographs, telling the story of the “mighty fine line” from the perspective of Morris, Illinois. This program is hosted by the Grundy County Historical Society and the Morris Area Public Library. The public is warmly invited to attend.
